Challenge
Orders were scattered across platforms and consolidated by daily spreadsheet export, so merges, splits and address edits went wrong often. Stock across two overseas warehouses was opaque, producing oversells and dead inventory simultaneously. Freight was a single aggregate number with no visibility into which SKUs were losing money.
Solution
OMS aggregated every channel’s orders and centralized sellable inventory, routing each order by buyer address, stock distribution and freight cost. Warehouse operations moved onto WMS, with the label system rate-shopping automatically by weight break and zone at dispatch.
We used to hire five or six temps for peak season to process orders. This year we hired none, and still moved faster. Once the routing rules were set, they basically run themselves.
